Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering individualized nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They collaborate with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to plan and evaluate care, ensuring practices align with scope of nursing expertise and age-specific standards.
Key Duties
- Coordinate resident care and conduct assessments.
- Provide resident education and implement nursing interventions.
- Serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, supporting safe and effective care.
- Operate within the standards outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and professional nursing codes.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Current unencumbered RN license, with multistate licensure if applicable.
- Maintain required competencies and certifications.
Skills & Attributes:
Strong clinical knowledge, delegation skills, teamwork, and adherence to ethical standards. The role may include serving as charge nurse and providing mentorship to staff.
