HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT
Job Summary:
- Provides and coordinates inpatient breastfeeding needs.
- Demonstrates an understanding of diversity.

- Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues, visitors, and patients.
- Updates resources and documentation.
- Trains staff members and community members in breastfeeding techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY
Required Education:
- Associate degree (or equivalent) in nursing from a program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Required Experience:
- Two (2) years of registered nursing experience
Preferred Experience:
- Advanced lactation consultant training. Two (2) to five (5) years of obstetrical registered nursing experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry:
- Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with Florida Statutes (F.S.), Title XXXII (Regulation of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 464 (Nursing), Part I (Nurse Practice Act) (includes multistate compact licensure).
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) credential from the Academy of Lactation Policy and Practice (ALPP).
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential from the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE) within one (1) year post-hire.
Preferred Certification/License/Registry:
- IBCLC credential from the IBLCE at hire.
