Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)
Seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join our infusion therapy unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient care through the administration of various infusions and injections.
Responsibilities
- Administer chemotherapy, antibiotics, blood products, iron, and fluids.
- Provide various injections as per patient needs.
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during infusion procedures.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Shift Details
This position is full-time with 8-hour shifts primarily scheduled from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Shift start and end times may vary. No call duty is required.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in infusion therapy or a related field.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA).
- Chemo certification is highly preferred.
- Must successfully pass a mandatory open-book skills exam during orientation, achieving a minimum score of 90%.
Unit Information
This unit serves approximately 50 patients per day and typically requires 6-7 RNs on staff daily.
Additional Information
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all departments providing patient care.
- A valid driver's license is required for this position.
