Normal hospital environment. Exposure to biological hazards. Frequent exposure to unpleasant odors. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Distinguish smells. Distinguish temperatures by touch and proximity. May be exposed to airborne and infectious materials. Required to stand, walk, sit, push and pull, use fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Reach with hands and arms. Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
JOB SUMMARY
The infectious disease (ID) nurse collaborates with the ID care team to coordinate and manage the process of patient from the point of initial consultation through hand-off to an attending or primary care provider.
