Schedule: Every Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday (clinic shifts typically 7-10 hours during operating hours)
Pay: $37.17/hr
Summary Now hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a busy walk-in clinic environment supporting primary care and urgent care-style services. This LPN/LVN clinic nurse role is hands-on and patient-facing-ideal for nurses with strong clinical fundamentals, fast assessment skills, and comfort working with vaccines, phlebotomy, and point-of-care testing. If you have recent experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or the Emergency Room and can commit to the required Friday-Monday schedule, this opportunity offers steady hours in a structured outpatient setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and routine assessments; obtain and document vital signs and symptoms
- Administer medications (oral, injectable, IV, topical) per protocols and clinical direction
- Provide vaccine administration and patient education as needed
- Perform phlebotomy and support specimen handling
- Conduct point-of-care testing (POCT) and document results accurately
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR)
- Monitor patient response to treatment; identify and communicate abnormal findings
- Support a clean, organized, well-stocked clinic environment; follow safety and infection control standards
- Communicate professionally with patients, families, and interdisciplinary clinical team members
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the state where you will work (North Carolina)
- 1+ year healthcare experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care, or Emergency Room (required)
- Experience with phlebotomy, vaccine administration, and point-of-care testing (required)
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems (required); Epic experience preferred
- Verifiable High School Diploma or GED required
- BLS/CPR certification (must meet minimum expiration criteria at start)
- Strong patient-facing communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced outpatient clinic setting
