About The Unit
HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge's ICU is a 28-bed critical care unit across two pods, providing care for a wide range of critically ill patients, including trauma, neurosurgical, cardiac arrest, respiratory arrest, withdrawal, and ventilated patients.
Unit Details
- Beds: 28
- EMR: Meditech
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:2 (may range from 1:1 to 1:3 based on acuity)
- Equipment: Pyxis, Plum Pumps, GE monitors, Nellcor, Arctic Sun, Sub-Zero
Staffing
- Dedicated Charge Nurse on each shift
- Nurse staffing based on census and patient acuity
- Critical Care Technician support available 6 days per week
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care ICU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- TNCC certification
- Meditech experience
