He/she may also be responsible for selected non-clinical activities. He/she may be responsible for assisting with direction, and coordination of clinical functions of the department. The RN will assess patient acuity and census, providing assistance to Heart Center Supervisor. Notifies Heart Center Supervisor for the need to make adjustments in staffing based on perceived demand. Coordinates any inpatient order & coordination for MD’s presence in procedures; phone calls for diagnostic procedure from MD or office requesting a diagnostic procedure earlier then next available appointment. The Heart Center Nurse participates in community education.***EDUCATION***Graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred.***EXPERIENCE***Cardiology experience in a health care setting required; e.g., pre-hospital, clinic/office, or hospital.***LICENSURE/CREDENTIALS***Current Washington State Registered Nurse Licensure. BLS and ACLS certification.
