The Medicine units at Baystate Health are highly specialized and will be the foundation of a successful nursing career.Department DescriptionDaly 6A is an ACE unit, Acute Care for Elders and we promote Aging in Place, which is the golden standard for elder care.This unit provides care for the older adult patient population with 39 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and 5 rooms for end of life care.This unit offers an ACE room which promotes socialization and has activities for our patients such as movies, games, arts and crafts books.The unit has pet therapy, and our friends Milo and Marlene visit once a month. The unit also participates in fun engagement activities such as cookie decorating, reverse trunk or treat, pumpkin painting etc.This is an engaged unit with a supportive management team.
