Responsibilities

• 1. Essential Functions
  • Assess the patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care. Document appropriately the information obtained from the ongoing assessment.
  • Share significant assessment data with the appropriate discipline.
  • Adhere to the Westerly Hospital policies and procedures.
• 2. Staff/Self Development
  • Act as a clinical resource and role model.
  • Actively participate in training and educational activities for other staff members.
• 3. Customer Service
  • Demonstrate a high level of respect, dignity, compassion and professionalism for all customers by utilizing the four tenets of Patient Family and Centered Partnership.

  • Report to work on time, prepared to work, and follow hospital policies for notice of lateness/absenteeism and time off requests.

Qualifications

• Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Experience Previous Geriatric Psych experience preferred; Previous hospital experience preferred.
• Licensure Current RI Nursing License and BLS required; CPI training within 1 year of employment.
• Special Skills Previous geriatric psychiatric experience preferred.
