Location: UCHealth UCHlth Memorial Hosp Central, Colorado Springs, CO
Department: MHC 5E Progressive Care Unit
Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Nights
Pay: $35.29 – $54.71 per hour, dependent on experience
Position type: Onsite only, no hybrid or remote options.
Minimum Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years experience.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 6 months nursing (RN) experience.
- BLS certification within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).

- Provide top of scope practice in direct patient care using the nursing process.

- Precept and educate new staff members and newcomers to UCHealth.

Progressive Care Fellowship: For experienced nurses new to Critical Care, a four‑phased orientation based on AACN’s ECCO® resources, including simulation, blocked learning, electronic orientation tracking, and knowledge verification.
Progressive Care Unit Details
- Direct care in a technically complex environment.
- Evidence‑based care models incorporating AACN's Synergy Model and specialty certification standards.
- Clinical Educators support individualized specialty education and competency validation throughout orientation.
