Marian Regional Medical Center context: a 191-bed facility located in Santa Maria, California, part of Dignity Health’s Southwest Division and CommonSpirit Health.

Responsibilities

• In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy, the Registered Nurse manages quality patient care through the nursing process. Coordinates plan of care with the health care team.
• Assumes leadership role for unit personnel to prepare and assist them with their responsibilities.
• Responsible for completion of unit competency assessments, annual safety review, CPR, and renewal of license by maintaining continuing education units as required by hospital policy.
• Must successfully pass clinical math exam prior to orientation to unit.
• In addition to these major responsibilities, the Registered Nurse may be assigned other duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse's without previous Emergency Department experience and new graduates will be considered on an individual basis provided they successfully complete the Emergency Department Orientation and Training program.
• Current California Registered Nurse license or interim permit.
• Current approved health care provider CPR - BLS certification.
• ACLS Certification (may be obtained within 30 days of hire).
• PALS Certification (may be obtained within 30 days of hire).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred.
• TNCC preferred.

Note: This location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through internal facility resources; outside RQI resources are not acceptable for compliance requirements.

Pay Range

$48.43 - $72.26 /hour
