Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (7p - 7:30a) with 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed.

Job Description

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Nurses are required to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while coordinating with healthcare teams and ensuring compliance with established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial patient assessments and triage incoming patients.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members for effective patient care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to appropriate staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-hospital care.
• Document patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of ER experience with recent experience in the last 12 months.
• Current certifications: TNCC, ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS from approved vendors.
• Active license to practice with no hits on state license.
• Driver's license required to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
