Description:The Registered Nurse (RN) functions primarily in direct patient care and demonstrates competent clinical practice.

This position involves triaging patients, obtaining patient history, and assessing vital signs.

The RN acts independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations in the absence of a physician.

They provide care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients.

The RN performs multiple procedures utilizing both complex and simple nursing skills and assists physicians with their procedures.

They provide comfort, both physical and psychological, to patients, their families, and visitors.

Discharge and follow-up instructions are provided to patients and families.

The RN answers ambulance radios and gives appropriate orders for pre-hospital care without assistance.

They work with various types of sophisticated equipment and handle diverse patients in a frequently stressful environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing nursing assessments, intervening appropriately and promptly, and participating in care planning.
• Regularly assessing patients' needs and providing skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's authorized plan of care.
• Processing physician/provider orders accurately, completely, and timely while following up on medication changes and order clarifications.
• Evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plans and facilitating changes to improve patient care.
• Actively participating in updating and revising the treatment plan in collaboration with other team members, utilizing current information.
