Job Description:
This travel assignment places you in the fast-paced Emergency Room of a busy hospital in Macomb, Illinois. You will be working 12-hour night shifts, providing support during peak hours in a setting that handles roughly 40 patients daily. Your responsibilities include assisting with various patient needs, managing triage when necessary, and working alongside experienced ED physicians, mid-level providers, and ER techs. The role involves troubleshooting equipment like vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and monitoring tools, while ensuring efficient patient flow in a trauma bay environment with 11 beds. Expect a varied experience with cardiac, respiratory, and GI cases, and collaborate with a dedicated team that manages a large patient load with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to sharpen skills in a dynamic ER setting while working with an experienced team managing complex cases.
