Emergency Room Nurse with SANE Certification
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Schedule includes rotating shifts of 3x12 Hours in both Day (12:00 - 00:00) and Night (19:00 - 07:00) schedules. Holiday work is required at least once during the contract.
Job Description
The Emergency Room Nurse will be responsible for providing care to a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, children, and adults. The nurse will float between two ER locations and may be required to take call. SANE certification is mandatory upon submission, along with other certifications such as ACLS, BCLS, CPI, and PALS.
Responsibilities
- Administer emergency care to patients in a fast-paced ER environment
- Perform triage and manage patient flow
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Document patient care activities accurately in the Meditech Expanse system
- Handle critical cases, including trauma, gunshot wounds, and other emergency situations
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of ER nursing experience required
- SANE certification in hand at the time of submission
- Current ACLS, BCLS, CPI, and PALS certifications required
- Prior experience with arterial lines, central line management, and IV sedation preferred
