As an Emergency Nurse, you will deliver patient and family-centered care within the Emergency Department. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care is provided to patients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Recognize the patient or designee as the source of control and a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care.
- Deliver developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive, evidence-based care while anticipating changes in patient outcomes.
- Communicate and advocate for patient values and preferences as part of the care plan evaluation.
- Function effectively within nursing and inter-professional teams to achieve quality patient care.
- Utilize data to monitor outcomes of care processes and improve quality and safety of healthcare systems.
- Minimize risk of harm to patients and providers through effective system practices and individual performance.
- Utilize information technology to support decision-making and care coordination, including navigating and documenting in the EMR.
- Participate in committees, professional development, and community engagement to support organizational goals.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN License
- Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BLS from American Red Cross or American Heart Association with at least 3 months before expiration required upon hire
