Description:This position requires the ability to manage a busy emergency room environment.The trauma center is designated as a Level III.There are 30 beds and trauma bays available.Weekend and holiday work is required for this position.No call or standby requirement is associated with this role.Employees must adhere to the dress code of dark blue or white scrubs.Unit-specific orientation will be provided.Traveling nurses will be required to take competency exams upon assignment.Competency exams include medication tests for both adult and pediatric patients.A dysrhythmia recognition exam is also part of the competency evaluation.Each candidate must demonstrate proficiency by passing these exams with a score of 80%.Charting will be done using the MEDITECH system.
