Description:The role requires performing nursing duties in a fast-paced environment.Candidates should have experience with a high patient volume and a trauma level III setting.RNs will care for a variety of patients including trauma cases, chest pain, fever, and pediatric patients.Daily patient care includes assessing and treating patients in both acute care and fast track areas.RNs may be asked to precept new staff as needed.Call-outs are discouraged and can lead to termination.RNs will float between campuses as required.Security is present in-house 24/7.The average daily patient volume is around 135.Patient-nurse ratios vary based on acuity.The unit has separate triage and vertical care areas for patient management.RNs will work collaboratively with a medical team that includes physicians and mid-level providers available 24/7.Patient Care Technicians will assist with tasks including EKGs, wound care, and patient transport.Respiratory Therapy services are available in the emergency room 24/7.Shifts will encompass a hybrid scheduling approach with weekend and holiday rotation requirements.RNs will be responsible for monitoring their own telemetry.This position fosters a team-oriented culture with shared governance practices.
