What You'll Do
- Provide patient care through sound Nursing Practice procedures.
- Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
- Assess and document patient's pain levels utilizing appropriate protocols.
- Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Establish and implement a plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines.
- Monitor and document patient's condition and effectiveness of care and interventions.
- Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to achieve planned outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education:
- Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.
Experience:
- Minimum two years recent experience in the Emergency Department.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.
