This position is self‑scheduling floating PRN nursing pool. Join the renowned Cleveland Clinic team as a Registered Nurse to work at one of the nation’s top hospitals. In this role you will support the Cleveland Clinic Nursing Institute and nine hospitals—Euclid, Main Campus, Hillcrest, South Pointe, Marymount, Medina, Avon, Fairview, and/or Lutheran. The ideal candidate is someone who can work independently, is comfortable traveling to new sites and working with different teams daily, and is flexible enough to work variable shifts at a single hospital per shift. This unique position offers a competitive hourly rate comparable to an agency plus shift differential. You will set up your own schedule and work when you want. Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care through sound nursing practices.
  • Perform accurate and complete admission assessments within defined time frames.
  • Assess and document patient pain levels using appropriate protocols.
  • Prioritize and document patient problems based on assessed needs/problems in collaboration with the patient, family, and health‑care team.
  • Establish and implement a plan of care in collaboration with other disciplines that promotes wellness and facilitates discharge.
  • Monitor and document patient condition and the effectiveness and timeliness of care and/or interventions.
  • Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Completion of a recognized course of study from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 3 years of hire.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required.

Complexity of Work

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Work Experience

  • Minimum two years recent experience in the Emergency Department.

Work Requirements

  • No holiday or weekend requirement.
  • Must work one shift within first month of orientation and a minimum of one productive shift every 60 days thereafter.
  • Incentives for increased flexibility.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods.
  • Medium work—exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand is in excess of light work.

Personal Protective Equipment

  • Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $50.00

Maximum hourly: $50.00

The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. Actual compensation will be determined after considering work history, experience, skill set, and education. The range does not include shift differentials, overtime, or the value of Cleveland Clinic’s benefits package.
