Job Summary and Qualifications

JOBSUMMARY:

We are seeking an EndoscopyRNto join our healthcare team. Yourprimary function is toassistcredentialed physicians in the performance of endoscopic procedures to diagnose, care, and treat patients.You will work with a phenomenal team that cares like family and works together in a collaborative manner.

In this role you will:

  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of the nursing process in theperi-operativesetting.
  • Prepare and equip endoscopy suites forindicatedprocedure.
  • Followestablishedprotocol for scheduling patients in the OR module for each procedure.
  • Educate patientsregardingprocedure,providescomfort and support forpatient, and preparespatientforindicatedprocedure.
  • Demonstrateknowledge of and ability to follow moderate sedation policy and procedure.
  • Knowledge of medications used during procedures and ability tomonitorpatient status.
  • Identifypotential and actual complications related to endoscopic procedures.
  • Evaluate and document patient response: monitors and recognizes changes in physiological and psychological status.
  • Support,maintainand providean environment which is supportive of quality patient care through effective use of resources and personnel.

Job Requirements:

  • Associates Degree in Nursingor Diploma in Nursing Required,
  • Bachelor Degree in Nursingpreferred
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN licenserequired. Compact license holders have60 daysto obtain the Florida license after relocation.
  • BLS-AHA Provider issued cardrequiredwithin30 daysof start
  • ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued cardrequired
  • Acute care experiencerequired.
  • Previousendoscopy experience preferred.
  • CGRN preferred
