RN EmergencyThe RN Emergency is responsible for obtaining patient history, assessing patients, and planning appropriate nursing care. They document the plan of care and interventions in the patient's medical record, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Verifying physician's orders, as well as the execution and documentation of prescribed orders, are crucial responsibilities. No verbal orders are accepted, ensuring patient safety and adherence to established protocols.Reassessing patient conditions and adjustment of care plans based on identified nursing problems is integral to quality nursing care.The RN Emergency participates in discharge planning, initiation of life-saving measures in the absence of physicians, and the assurance of accurate and validated documentation are essential components of the RN's role.Shall assess and document patient responses to administered medications, interpreting cardiac rhythms, and responding appropriately to emergencies and therapeutic procedures.Should be proficient in operating defibrillators, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, and other emergency technical equipment is vital.

RNs care for patients with specialized equipment such as Swan-Ganz catheters, central venous catheters, arterial lines, and mechanical ventilators.The RN Emergency conducts regular assessments of intake and output, reviewing all laboratory data and electronic medical records. They can titrate medications, perform urinary catheter care, central line and ventilator care, skin assessments, and initiate measures to prevent Hospital Acquired Pressure Ulcers (HAPU).Candidate must possess a bachelor's degree in nursing and at least one full year of professional nursing experience.Must possess a current, valid, unrestricted nursing license in a state, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.Must have a minimum of 24 months experience in an Emergency Room environment during the last 36 months.Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the American Heart Association (AHA) are mandatory for all specialties.Evidence of current immunizations is required.The Emergency Nurse will work primarily in a hospital setting, with frequent interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. This position may require working irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
