RN - Emergency Department

Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team in Goldsboro, NC. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality, and evidence-based nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency care environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of patient care while ensuring professional nursing standards are maintained.

This role also provides opportunities for leadership, collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, participation in quality improvement initiatives, and patient/family education to promote positive healthcare outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct emergency patient care and monitor patient conditions
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards
• Prioritize and organize care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Support team collaboration and professional development activities

Education Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Diploma, ADN/ASN, or BSN)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or ARC)
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity emergency department environment

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience required
• Previous Emergency Department experience preferred

Minimum Degree Required

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN), Nursing Diploma, or equivalent accredited nursing education
