RN Educator/Infection Control (Full-Time)

Excel at Woodbury for Rehab and Nursing is urgently seeking an Infection Control/Staff Educator.
You must be a Registered Nurse to apply.
This position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with knowledge of nursing re-education and the leadership qualities to supervise staff.
The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable and self-motivated and willing to work flexible hours and at times this may include weekends.

Customary Duties

• Ensures accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents and their responsible parties
• Conduct rounds
• Provides patient, family and staff education regarding support services and other therapies.
• Provides patient, family and staff education
• Will be a resource person for physicians and clinical staff.
• Schedule and Conduct facility in-services in conjunction with DOH guidelines and clinical needs of the facility.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse in New York
• Minimum of 2-years experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Flexible and dependable
• Capable of meeting deadlines
• Able to work independently & efficiently
• MDS knowledge
• Familiar with Electronic Medical Records

Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Participates in the performance improvement plan of the organization.
Job Type: Full-time M-F
Salary: $55-$60 per hour
