Job Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced RN to lead hospital relationships, manage critical care transitions from NICU/PICU to homecare, and oversee clinical education and training across multiple markets. This role blends clinical leadership, training, coordination, and travel.
Key Responsibilities
Hospital & Transition Management (50%)
- Serve as the main clinical contact for NICU/PICU teams and discharge planners.
- Manage referrals and ensure safe, compliant transitions from hospital to home.
- Build strong relationships with hospital staff and resolve issues during transitions.
- Represent the organization at hospital meetings and community events.
Clinical Education & Quality (50%)
- Develop and deliver training on equipment, devices, and competencies.
- Coordinate admissions from referral through start of care.
- Mentor nursing leaders and field staff to strengthen critical-care skills.
- Track and analyze transition performance and quality outcomes.
- Support preceptor programs, accreditation efforts, and new market openings.
- Lead onboarding and continuing education for clinical teams.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work closely with clinical, operations, and business development teams.
- Provide insights on referral trends and hospital relationships.
- Improve processes to enhance safety, speed, and care quality.
- Model a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassion.
Required Qualifications
- Active FL RN license (compact eligible).
- Significant NICU, PICU, or pediatric critical-care experience.
- Experience in clinical education, training, or nursing leadership.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation abilities.
- Ability to travel ~75% across Florida and Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pediatric homecare or home health experience.
- Experience with accreditation, quality improvement, or market launches.
- BSN or higher; pediatric or critical-care certifications.
Working Conditions
- Travel Tuesday–Friday; typically work from home Mondays.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Frequent use of computer, phone, and office equipment.
