Job Summary
The Enterprise Central Resource Pool (CRP) Registered Nurse (RN) is a specialized role in which qualified registered nursing staff are assigned to units across the enterprise based on their clinical expertise, skill, and organization/unit need. The RN utilizes the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcome planning, implementation, and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. The RN collaborates with inter‑professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care. The RN demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes appropriate age and population‑specific standards as designated in their assigned clinical setting. The RN cares for patients in all phases of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow‑up as patients move along the continuum of care. Responsibilities include planning and coordination of care, patient assessment, patient education, triage, and various other nursing interventions. The RN functions within the scope and standards of nursing practice as outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and administrative rules in the state of practice and licensure. Scheduled work hours will vary depending on patient and unit needs and may include overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program is strongly preferred; a Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. A minimum of one year of nursing experience is preferred. The applicant must currently hold an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. The RN must obtain and subsequently maintain required department‑specific competencies and certifications, such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) as determined by assignment.
