Interventional Radiology Technician

From decreased recovery times and decreased costs, to less pain and shorter (if any) hospital stays, interventional radiology, which uses radiological technology to perform minimally invasive interventional techniques, is revolutionizing the way many health services are delivered.

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as the first point of contact for referrals and patients
• Attending patient consultations
• Performing initial examinations and patient assessments
• Making recommendations to the referring physician, the patient, and patient's family under the guidance of the interventional radiologist
• Performing daily rounds and communicating patient progress to the medical staff and the radiologist

Population: Adult and Geriatric Procedures: Cardiac catheterization, EP ablations, peripheral angiograms, cerebral angiograms, and TEE/Cardioversions.

Submission requirements include:

• 2 years of current experience in cardiac cath and interventional radiology - (REQUIRED)
• Experience providing moderate sedation - (REQUIRED)
• BLS and ACLS- (REQUIRED)
• COVID and FLU vaccination required - DECLINATIONS WILL NOT BE APPROVED **Please add vaccination status in the profile**
• Copy of agency's IL nursing license included in submission - (REQUIRED)
• Prior travel experience - (Highly preferred)
• Prior Cerner experience - (Highly preferred)
