Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Cath Lab

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. This position requires a strong clinical background and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
• Perform assessments, plan interventions, and evaluate patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to approved nursing techniques, policies, and procedures, as well as state laws.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation following established standards of care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as directed by the physician and hospital policy.
• Utilize available resources to provide education and support to patients and their families at an appropriate level of understanding.
• Participate in departmental performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units and departments in support of the patient's ongoing care.
• Actively work to resolve system breakdowns and engage yourself and others in providing solutions.
• Utilize critical thinking to enhance patient safety and experience, manage complex situations, and delegate tasks to other staff as appropriate.
• Engage in professional development and support continuous learning opportunities, including revising evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Support and participate in peer review and feedback opportunities.
• Maintain timely patient flow and respond to telephone inquiries, performing telephone triage as needed.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program - Education verification is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, with at least 1 year of critical care experience required.
• Experience in cardiovascular intervention is essential.
• Current Wisconsin or Compact RN licensure is necessary.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
• Must successfully pass an EKG test.

On-Call Requirements:

The position involves being on call one night a week and one weekend a month.
