Job Details
- Unit: Cardiac Cath Lab
- Shift Length: 10 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift Schedule: 4x10s, Monday to Friday, 0700 - 1730 with a rotating day off
- On-call Requirement: 10-12 days of call per month, including weekend rotation
Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac catheterizations and assist in various cardiovascular procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide direct patient care during procedures.
- Ensure equipment is functioning properly and maintain a sterile environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- During downtime, float to the emergency department as a sitter or assist on med-surg floors to respond to call lights.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a cardiac cath lab or related field.
- Certifications: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications (AHA).
Skills
- Strong technical skills and the ability to operate specialized cath lab equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
