Job Description
Acute Travel Registered Nurse (RN): PCU
We are seeking an experienced Acute Travel Registered Nurse to join our team in a progressive care unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will have prior experience in cardiac catheterization, as well as a strong background in patient care.
About the Position

• Type: Acute Travel Nursing Position
• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Shift: Day shift (7 AM to 7 PM)
• Weekly orientation starts every Monday

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in the progressive care unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions; implement and update care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families on care processes, treatments, and health management.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience, with a strong focus on cardiac care.
• Cardiac catheterization experience is a mandatory requirement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

Clearance Requirements
All candidates must complete the following clearances prior to starting:

• Complete Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance.
• Submit fingerprints for Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
• Provide FBI Department of Aging fingerprints if required.
• Obtain a PATCH clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police.
