Physician's Surgical Hospital is partnered with BSA Health System to provide two surgical facilities which include Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospitalin Amarillo. Each hospital combines the latest technology with a warm and caring staff specializing in surgical services. Physicians Surgical Hospitals is unique because it is owned and operated by physicians in an affiliation with BSA Health System.
Responsibilities
The RN Case Manager assesses the social, psychological, cultural, environmental and financial situations concerning the patient and family. He/she is a patient/family advocate, promoting rights and dignity and striving to involve the patient/family in aspects of care as appropriate. The RN Case Manager also facilitates the acute, rehabilitative, and long-term discharge processes to provide for an optimal age‑specific continuum of care for the populations listed below. Accountable for the care of patients assigned to them in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Policies and Procedures of BSA.
Qualifications
Experience PREFERRED
- Registered Nurse with two years of experience, preferably in a hospital setting
Education
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing
Certification/Licenses REQUIRED
- Current License as RN in State of Texas
- Basic Life Support Certification
Skills & Abilities
- Position requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriately
- Must exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA Way
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills
- Good organizational and follow-through skills
- Ability to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptions
