Aiken Physicians Alliance, part of Aiken Regional Medical Centers, is a 273‑bed acute care facility offering a comprehensive range of specialties and services.

Position Summary

The RN is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties,包括 assisting in examination, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, venipuncture, documenting in the electronic medical record, preparing treatment rooms, administering prescribed medications, delegating as allowed, consulting with physicians, and educating patients and families about health status and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
  • Interviewing patients and measuring vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height; performing venipuncture and procedures as directed by the physician.
  • Recording documentation in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guidelines.
  • Preparing treatment rooms for examination of patients and assisting in covering the front desk as required.
  • Executing prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administering prescribed medications, and monitoring and documenting treatment progress and patient response.
  • Delegating duties as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Referring to/consulting with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent or resolve problems or concerns.
  • Educating patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Qualifications

  • RN – completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years college or Associate’s Degree; BSN preferred.
  • Current state registered nurse license and current BLS/CPR certification.
  • Minimum of one to three (1‑3) years working as a Registered Nurse; three to five (3‑5) years of related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems such as Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with office equipment such as fax machine, copier, telephone system, and EKG machine.
