Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology
Job Description
The Registered Nurse - Pacemaker Electrophysiology assists clinic providers and staff in the deliverance and coordination of patient care to facilitate patient satisfaction, clinic efficiency, and provider productivity. This position is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while working collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team. Registered Nurses also plan and implement patient and family education.
Responsibilities
- Interrogate cardiac implantable electronic devices, monitor and document patient response to device therapy and programming changes, and adjust device settings per provider orders.
- Manage remote device monitoring and troubleshoot device-related concerns.
- Coordinate follow-up care for patients receiving services through the Device Clinic.
- Maintain device clinic databases and patient records to support accurate documentation and continuity of care.
- Perform diagnostic tests and treatments as ordered by the provider, including electrocardiograms (EKGs) and Holter monitors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care for patients with cardiac implantable electronic devices undergoing procedures.
- Provide education and ongoing guidance to patients and families about cardiac implantable electronic devices and arrhythmia management.
- Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and departmental initiatives.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- One (1) year of registered nursing experience.
- International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) certification.
- Experience managing cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers and ICDs.
- Knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia management and ECG/EKG interpretation.
Schedule
This position offers a day shift, consisting of 9-hour shifts, 4 days a week.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
