Provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients, adhering to facility policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities Include

  • Conducting admission and shift assessments, documenting behaviors and patient data accurately and timely.
  • Using critical thinking to analyze assessment data, notifying physicians of any changes in patient condition.
  • Participating in developing, reviewing, and evaluating multidisciplinary treatment plans.
  • Documenting all nursing care, following standards and policies, and implementing physician orders precisely.
  • Monitoring patient and environmental safety, supervising LPNs and techs, and providing patient and family education.
  • Applying evidence-based practices tailored to patient age and clinical needs, guided by professional nursing standards and ethics.
  • Maintaining alertness, ensuring safety, and performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Skills
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
  • At least one year of RN experience.
  • Valid RN license and BLS certification for the applicable state.
  • Physical ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching, and other physical tasks.
Additional Requirements Include
  • Proficiency in communication, observation, and documentation.
  • Ability to work safely and collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
