Role Overview:
The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care within an interdisciplinary team in an acute care setting, focusing on orthopedic surgical patients. They practice evidence-based nursing aligned with professional standards and organizational policies, ensuring safety, quality, and individualized care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making to meet their needs and goals.
- Coordinate safe and efficient care delivery, ensuring proper documentation and fostering a collaborative clinical environment.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, participate in research activities, and uphold organizational standards for quality and safety.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to promote ongoing professional development and a healthy work environment.
- Engage in resource development, protocol creation, and participate in quality and safety projects to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years RN experience, with direct patient care preferred.
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
- Associates or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in technology, clinical documentation, and emergency response.
