Role Overview
The RN Clinical Nurse provides high-quality, safe, patient-centered care as part of an interdisciplinary team in an acute care medical telemetry setting. They practice in accordance with professional standards, evidence-based practice, and organizational policies, ensuring individualized care that respects cultural diversity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care using critical thinking and evidence-based standards.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication, education, and shared decision-making, focusing on patient goals.
- Coordinate and document safe, quality care via interdisciplinary communication, timely documentation, and promoting a respectful environment.
- Support performance improvement activities, participate in research, and uphold safety and regulatory standards.
- Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster workforce development and model professional nursing practice.
- Contribute to protocol development, resource management, and system-wide initiatives for optimal outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Current RN license (single-state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification required.
- Minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, time management, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in clinical technology, documentation, and responding effectively to emergencies.
