Optum NY is seeking a patient-centric Rheumatologist to join their team in Lake Success, NY. Practice Info

  • Collegial multispecialty group practice with a large referral base

  • Full complement of clinical and administrative support teams, including a dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider
  • Practice medicine autonomously in an ambulatory setting partnering with primary care

Responsibilities

  • Perform consults, follow-up appointments, and in-office procedures
  • Manage and treat patients with chronic Rheumatic diseases (musculoskeletal / systemic autoimmune conditions) in an outpatient setting
  • Consult with patients to understand their health concerns and perform specialized tests to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal disease
  • Order and interpret appropriate tests and consults

Compensation

  • Guaranteed, competitive compensation model based on quality, not quantity, with significant earning potential and bonus eligibility
  • Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $219,500 - $357,000
  • Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role

Requirements

  • Unrestricted licensure in the state of New York or has New York application in process
  • Board Certification or board eligibility in Rheumatology
  • Active and unrestricted DEA License or ability to obtain prior to start
