Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join their growing practice in Bismarck, North Dakota. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-volume practice, serving a diverse patient population across a broad referral network. The position provides educational and growth opportunities within one of the largest not-for-profit health systems in the United States.
Practice Info
- Join a current group of 2 physicians in a very busy, growing practice
- High volume practice
- Referral network spanning Western North Dakota, Eastern Montana, and Southern Canada
- Approximately 17-20 outpatients per day
- Diverse patient load age ranging from 18 - 90
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination
- Admit (if applicable to the setting)
- Provide consultative services
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with diseases of the joints, muscles, bones, and tendons

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program, followed by the completion of a fellowship in Rheumatology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/ subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but have completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
- Experience can be demonstrated by fellowship log (for recent graduates) or a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months (for those not applying directly out of fellowship)
- If not applying directly out of fellowship, must demonstrate active involvement of inpatient services to be at least 50 patients in the last 12 months
- If a quality profile is not available, documentation of clinic activity for the last 12 months is required, demonstrating active involvement in the care of 50 patients in clinical practice in the last 12 months
