Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join its expanding team in Fargo, North Dakota. This role involves managing a full spectrum of rheumatic diseases in an outpatient setting, supported by an experienced team of RNs and LPNs. The position offers teaching opportunities and outreach to local network clinics, contributing to a growing regional referral base.
Practice Info
- Join a staff of 4 Rheumatologists supported by an experienced group of RNs and LPNs.
- Pediatric Rheumatologists are on staff with the pediatric department.
- Practice is co-located in a multispecialty clinic including Internal Medicine, Integrative Medicine, Family Medicine, Endocrinology, Allergy and Immunology, Women's specialty clinic, Cardiac Rehab, and Chiropractic.
- On-site lab and imaging services are available.
- Rheumatologists manage a full-spectrum of rheumatic disease and conditions, seeing 16-20 outpatients per day.
- Hospitalists manage inpatients.
Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examination.
- Admit (if applicable to the setting).
- Provide consultative services.
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and provide consultation to patients of all ages with diseases of the joints, muscles, bones, and tendons.
- Manage a full-spectrum of rheumatic disease and conditions.
- See 16-20 outpatients per day.
- Administer infusions at the Roger Maris Cancer Center.
- Conduct outreach to local network clinics (1-2 times per month).

Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine or Pediatric residency program, followed by the completion of a fellowship in Rheumatology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
