RF Test Engineer 2This position is for a hands-on RF Test Engineer to support post-production test engineering in a manufacturing environment.

The role involves assessing issues with the test process, supporting technicians, and ensuring test systems remain operational. The engineer will diagnose hardware failures at the component level, identify root causes, and document findings for repair teams. This is a 2nd shift position.Key ResponsibilitiesAssess issues within the test process and support test technicians.Ensure test sets remain online and assist operators with diagnosing problems.Test circuit board components to identify failures and determine root causes.Analyze failing hardware and diagnose issues using tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators.Document findings by creating quality notices and logging issues into internal systems.Collaborate with design engineering to implement hardware improvements.Monitor product yields and support program meetings by reporting on yield issues and corrective actions.Interface with manufacturing management, production engineers, and design engineers.Required QualificationsEducation: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 0 years of experience.Experience: Must have experience in a test environment with practical application of RF/Digital principles.

Experience reading and interpreting specifications, schematics, and block diagrams.Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with RF test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators, to diagnose issues at the board level. Familiarity with RF concepts like S-parameters and insertion loss is required.Additional Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is required. Candidates must be willing and able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance or have an Active Secret ClearancePreferred QualificationsCandidates with a DOD Secret Clearance are highly preferred for this positionAn advanced degree in Engineering or a related STEM discipline.Experience with LabWindows/CVI, C/C++ programming, or Test Stand programming.Experience with FPGA, differential digital interfaces like LVDS, and PXI/PXIe or VME bus.Hands-on troubleshooting of electrical hardware.Experience with digital, analog, and high-speed digital test equipment.
