Hiring: Founding RF Systems Engineer | Phased Arrays & Satellite Communications
Boston area, just north of Cambridge | On-site
$20M+ pre-seed funding. MIT roots. Advanced 3D chips for defense radar and satellite communications.
I’m partnering with a semiconductor startup combining different chip materials into vertically integrated 3D systems, bringing RF, silicon, power and packaging together in a single device.
Their founder is an MIT Fellow who led world-first demonstrations of these 3D chips.
Now, they’re hiring their first RF Systems Engineer to shape the architecture behind their radar and satellite communications products.
You’ll own:
- Translating customer requirements into RF system architecture, budgets and block-level specifications
- Making design trades across phased arrays, beamformers, T/R modules and transceiver chains
- Defining link budgets, noise figure, linearity, EIRP and dynamic-range requirements
- Working across RFIC/MMIC, electromagnetics, analog and packaging teams to deliver integrated hardware
- Validating assembled systems through measurement, calibration and over-the-air characterization
- Acting as the technical interface to customer systems teams, from requirements through acceptance
I’d love to speak with engineers who have personally taken RF or millimeter-wave hardware through development and into shipped radar, satellite or wireless products.
Phased Arrays experience is mandatory
