If you want to push the boundaries of materials science and engineering to create next generation technology, join us to deliver material innovation that changes the world.As an Electrical Engineer, you are responsible for designing, modifying, and troubleshooting electrical or electronic engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, and drawings to advance the equipment that supports our technology. Using your technical experience and critical thinking skills, you will perform engineering analysis, generate test reports, develop innovative solutions, and create documentation for product releases. You will also coordinate the procurement and assembly of components, identify sources of critical parts, and resolve technical issues to ensure peak performance.Role Responsibilities:Technically lead or execute complex electrical engineering projects, including the development of key suppliersIdentify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex electrical problemsDesign, specify, or modify electrical engineering assemblies, layouts, schematics, or drawings of complex scopeCommunicate with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projectsImplement concepts for a wide range of complex product issues and solutionsGenerate product specifications; specify or perform engineering analysisDefine, coordinate, perform, and generate engineering test reportsLead moderately complex functional or project teams, as applicableClearly communicate difficult concepts and influence varied perspectivesSupport Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for process power modules used in semiconductor process chambers, including RF matchers, RF generators, and high-voltage power suppliesCommunicate with customer engineers to understand High Value Problems and drive resolutionUtilize engineering experimentation, modeling, and simulation to replicate customer issues and validate solutionsDevelop a deep understanding of existing equipment—including hardware and firmware—to resolve performance and quality issuesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree7-10 years of experience in a related fieldPreferred Qualifications:Extensive experience with project management and the Applied Materials product development life cycleDemonstrated experience leading teamsExperience supporting complex semiconductor process equipment, particularly process-critical power modules (RF/HV)Strong background in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective action methodologiesTime Type: Full timeEmployee Type: Assignee / RegularTravel: Yes, 10% of the TimeRelocation Eligible: YesThe salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members.
