Job Description

Position: Revenue Accountant

Type: Permanent

Summary:

Our client, a leading global investment firm specializing in private markets, is seeking a meticulous Revenue Accountant to join their Accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with at least 3 years of experience , who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to deepen their expertise in revenue recognition and accounts receivable within the private equity industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review client contracts to understand fee structures and services provided.
• Set up customers, create billing schedules, and generate invoices in the ERP system.
• Monitor AR inquiries and ensure prompt resolution of client billing questions.
• Track outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries, account reconciliations, and other revenue-related transactions.
• Assist with intercompany fee-sharing transactions between subsidiaries.
• Complete month-end close tasks and reporting within tight deadlines.
• Record cash receipts and initiate wire transfers for third-party payments.
• Coordinate with the Fund Accounting team on fee calculations and payments.
• Update cash flow forecasts and assist with treasury reporting.
• Provide audit support and prepare ad-hoc reports as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, with a focus on revenue and AR.
• Solid understanding of revenue recognition and AR processes.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Prior experience handling multiple entities, global offices, and foreign currency transactions is a plus.
• Advanced skills in Excel and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• High attention to detail, excellent communication, and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional demeanor and strict confidentiality required.
• Eager to learn and grow within a dynamic team.
