Our photographic production team is looking for interns with the ability to retouch, crop and upload all digitally captured files to our website.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Re­touch, crop and upload product photography imagesName and maintain digital asset file/structure organizationRetouch digital photographic imagesCrop digital photographic images/maintain file size specification guidelinesEnsure colour consistency between image assetsUpload assets to web servers in accordance to calendarsStrong colour correction skills, matching images from different camerasPerform quality assurance on all imagesResponsible for completion of work to daily and weekly deadlinesRetouching images for the Hasana, Inc. magazineAbility to receive creative direction from Art Director and Photography and Video Manager and make amends where necessarySuggest ways and to constantly improve the service of the photography teamPro­active and able to show initiative/ideas to constantly improve the service of the photography teamAny other ad hoc duties within art department/editorial when requiredKnowledge of image formatting for variety of printings, large scale printing, web, etc.QualificationsQualifications:A passion for women's economic opportunitiesMust be a full or part­time student and working toward a degreeMust be eligible to receive school credit and commit to 2­3 days a week for 3 monthsComfortable with ambiguity and able to work autonomouslyStrong understanding of image constraintsProven ability to work efficiently and producing a high turnover of images in stringent deadlines with extreme pressure and changePro­active and able to take initiativeExcellent eye for detailFlexible; ability to adapt to changing priorities and multiple tasksHigh technical proficiency in Macintosh OS and PhotoshopPursuing a Visual Arts related degreeStrong retouching skillsProven experience retouching product photography and creative editorial imagesPrevious experience working within a digital photographic studioStrong understanding of colour correctionIntegrity, honesty, openness and a willingness to operate as a team playerAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
