Join Our Client’s Team as a Retirement Plan Peer Review & Technical Specialist

Are you passionate about retirement plan compliance and ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented professional to join this company’s ERISA team as a Retirement Plan Peer Review and Technical Specialist . In this role, you’ll collaborate with Plan Administrators and other team members to ensure clients’ retirement plans are accurate, compliant, and aligned with their design.

Responsibilities

  • Review plan valuations and administrative projects for accuracy and compliance with ERISA regulations and plan design.
  • Provide expert consulting and research on ERISA compliance matters for internal teams and clients.
  • Support the maintenance and review of plan documents, including amendments, restatements, and start-up plans.
  • Respond to technical questions and provide guidance through our Quality Assurance inbox.
  • Partner with Plan Administrators, Relationship Managers, and other departments to deliver training and ensure best practices.
  • Stay updated on legislative changes and help implement necessary compliance procedures.

Salary Range

$75,000 - $85,000 plus annual bonus

Qualifications

  • 5–7 or more years of experience in retirement plan administration or compliance review.
  • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, DOL regulations, and plan types including 401(k), 403(b), 457, Cash Balance, Profit Sharing, and Money Purchase Plans.
  • Proven ability to work independently with a proactive mindset and a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Pension Pal or similar CRM systems.
  • Familiarity with FT Williams software (Form 5500, plan documents, compliance modules).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
