Retirement Plan Consultant

The Retirement Plan Consultant provides objective guidance to plan sponsors and eligible employees, helping them make informed decisions about retirement savings options.

About the Role

The position is a salary‑paid role with bonus potential, focused on education, outreach, and participation drives for retirement plans.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group presentations (in person or via video) to improve awareness of plan features and grow plan assets.
• Deliver enrollment meetings, age‑based financial education sessions, and financial literacy meetings as requested by plan sponsors.
• Actively participate in benefit fairs and new employee orientations.
• Assist in the annual plan review and financial education planning process.
• Collaborate with the Relationship Manager and/or District Vice President on targeted education campaigns to increase participation and deferral rates.
• Meet with participants and eligible employees to educate them about plan participation.
• Travel may be required within the territory for new plan enrollments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Series 7 and Series 66 preferred; appropriate state insurance licenses required.
• CFP, ChFC, or similar designations desirable.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Bilingual Spanish/English skills are a plus.
