We are proud to be nationally ranked among the top two providers of ESOP recordkeeping and administration services and among the top three providers of retirement plan administration and consulting services, which includes 401(k), defined benefit (DB), cash balance (CB), and other qualified retirement plans.Whether remote or based in one of our seven offices across the country, our team members work together with a shared mission: to make it easy for plan sponsors and professionals to provide wealth-building benefits to business owners and their employees.That's where you come in as a Retirement Plan Administration Analyst.Blue Ridge Associates is seeking a Retirement Plan Administration Analyst that will be an ambassador of our organization to our clients and industry.A Retirement Plan Administration Analyst is primarily responsible for:Census reconciliation Review and identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect employee dataCommunicate with clients to request missing information, clarify discrepancies, and ensure all census data is complete and accurateLoad corrected census data to testing software (FT William or Datair)Resolve data issues independently when possible and escalate complex cases to consultants as neededTrust accounting and reconciliation Conduct basic trust accounting by comparing client-provided census data with recordkeeper reports (e.g., John Hancock, Principal, Voya, American Funds, Ascensus/Vanguard, etc.)Identify and resolve discrepancies such as missing contributions, incorrect amounts, or misapplied paymentsComplete basic reconciliations independently and collaborate with consultants on more complex casesDeliver a fully reconciled, "clean" census to consultants for compliance testingYear-end support Complete force-out packages and Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) for eligible employeesCompile valuation reportsCollaboration and quality assurance Work closely with consultants and managers to review final census and reconciliation workCommunicate professionally with clients to build rapport, gather information, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracyMaintain organized documentation and follow established procedures for data handling and plan processingOther duties as assignedRequirementsThe ideal Analyst will be:Motivated to solve problemsDriven to help othersOrganizedDetail-orientedCapable of managing deadlines and prioritiesA clear and professional communicatorA collaborative and supportive team memberRetirement Plan Administration Analyst requirementsUnderstanding of trust accounting principles or prior experience with account reconciliationExperience working with retirement plans, payroll and census data, or retirement plan recordkeeping systemsStrong familiarity with financial concepts, including contributions, distributions, and account balances.Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., sorting, filtering, basic formulas, etc.)Excellent oral and written communication skillsStrong client relations and client-service mindsetAbility to learn and retain key concepts quicklyAbility to meet deadlines, manage workloads, and work effectively during peak periods.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and multi-task with accuracy and dependability.Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and self-motivation.Must be able to commute daily to the Monrovia, CA office.Preferred experience and qualificationsAssociate or bachelor's degree in business finance, accounting, mathematics, or a related field. The anticipated hiring range for this position is $24.03 - $26.92 per hour.
