Location: Beaverton, OR - Hybrid schedule (4 days on-site; Friday remote)

About the Role -

A global sportswear leader is looking for a strategic, hands-on Art Director to join its Retail Story Design team for a leave-coverage contract.

This is the team that designs how the brand tells its story inside its stores — the in-store displays, environmental graphics, immersive environments, and digital touchpoints across the full store portfolio. You'll create, refine, and evolve non-seasonal retail storytelling, lead projects from concept to delivery, and mentor junior designers along the way.

MUST-HAVE:

• Minimum 8 years of brand design experience demonstrating creative sophistication in concepts and design/visual communications — including at least 3 years of management experience
• Portfolio of retail/environmental design work, ready for team review
• Tool proficiency: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Keynote
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations
• Ability to sketch design ideas and visually communicate concept development through ideation
• Detail-oriented, graphic and environments design-minded creative with a forward-thinking leadership approach

NICE-TO-HAVE:

• Retail industry experience — retail environments, concepts, and programs (international experience is a bonus)
• Passion for current trends in Technology, Design, Art, Interactive and Experience Design
• Can-do attitude with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality

Education:

Bachelor's/master’s degree in graphic design, architecture, interior design, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience (degree not required)
