We are looking for experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Retail — covering merchandising, supply chain, store management, e-commerce, and customer experience — to join our AI training and evaluation team. These are remote, freelance roles where you will help shape next-generation AI solutions for the retail industry.
What You’ll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy, relevancy, and domain-specific reasoning.
- Annotate, validate, and structure domain‑specific data sets used for AI model training.
- Work closely with AI/ML engineers and product teams to improve model performance and real‑world applicability.
- Stay updated on retail industry trends and suggest innovative AI use‑cases.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Retail or closely related).
- 7+ years of professional experience in retail operations, merchandising, supply chain, store management, or customer experience.
- Strong analytical, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with domain tools (ERP, CRM) is a plus.
- Experience with AI/ML tasks (data annotation, prompt‑design, model evaluation) preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience with major retail companies such as Walmart, Amazon, Costco, The Home Depot, Kroger, Walgreens Boots Alliance, CVS Health, Target, Lowe's, or Albertson s is a plus.
