TheRetailPharmacy Specialistis responsible forproviding clinical support and consultative services in a complexretailpharmacy operation.This positionpartners with key stakeholders to drivemedicationsafety, customer service, process improvement, clinical and formulary programs andinitiatives and regulatory compliance.The Pharmacy Specialist will act as a primary resource in the development and education of students,staffand interdisciplinary members of the care team.

Job Expectations

• Provide clinical,formularyand pharmacotherapyexpertiseand act as a resourceto students,staffand interdisciplinary members of the care team.
• Act as resource for pharmaceutical care to patients This includes partnering with interdisciplinary care team members to ensure appropriateness of medication order and therapy, drug selection, formulary correctness and compliance any other formulary or departmental initiatives.
• Provide clinical pharmacy services to all patients in assigned area including completing review for all patients daily, monitoring, adjusting patient therapies and documenting changes according to department policies.
• Accountable for the distribution and/or preparation of medications, sterile products, compound IV mixtures and other extemporaneous orders as appropriate.
• Effectively consult and educate patients, staff and students on drug
• Execute the function of staff pharmacist.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications to Fulfill Job Responsibilities

Required

Education

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree

Experience

• One year pharmacist experience incomplex pharmacy operation or completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program

License/Certification/Registration

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a pharmacist in Minnesota

Preferred

Education

• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree

Experience

• 3years experiencein a specialty setting

Certifications

• BLS certification
• Immunization certification

Compensation Disclaimer

The posted pay range is for a 40-hour workweek (1.0 FTE). The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions. Additionally, our organization values pay equity and considers the internal equity of our team when making any offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range is not typical.
